We love holidays! It gives us another reason to make special treats and share them with others. I can't wait til Molly can really get involved in the cooking and creating and even coming up with her own ideas! For Valentine's Day, Molly gave her friends in her class homemade playdough with a heart cookie cutter.
We also made heart shaped pancakes for her friends to enjoy at snack time. We made heart shaped sugar cookies and brownies for her teachers.
We knew it was suppose to snow, but we never expected to be SNOWED IN (well more like ICED in) for several days! The snow fall began Sunday night...coming down very quickly. I was at bible study and didn't realize how much trouble it would be to get back home. The roads were covered in less than an hour and the temperature was falling way below freezing! My work, Molly's school was CLOSED on Monday. The roads were all ICE. We couldn't leave our house. It was hard just to get outside to see the snow without sliding and falling. Molly got to enjoy it for a little while. But it was way too cold! We came in and had hot chocolate and madeSTICKY BUNS! Molly couldn't resist. She couldn't even wait for me to take a picture, she was so excited! School's closed for Tuesday....ICE Everywhere!
Molly checks out the weather conditions from the door window! We read books, did art, played games and cooked and ate all day. Wednesday, another day at home! Yay, we could get used to this. We stayed in our jammies all day long and snuggled on the couch! Back to work and school on Thursday! Guess the snow days had to end at some point. We LOVE snow days!
And on his farm he had a COW, eeieeioooo! Molly loves Cows, so it was the perfect costume for Halloween this year! One of Molly's first words was MOO!
We spent the morning with our small group at a local farm. The kids enjoyed pumpkins, a tractor ride, a corn maze with piles of leaves to play in and a petting zoo!
Our Sweet Molly Moo Moo! That nickname was used when she was in my tummy, not knowing she would come to love cows. haha.
